I know, some promise that was. But you gotta hear me out…

Okay, it’s inexcusable. The only promise I can keep at this point is to get back on the horse, and use this blog to flex my creative muscle. My food-to-table job will be slowing down here (hopefully) and from there I hope to dedicate more time to getting myself back on track. Because I think it’s good to set realistic resolutions; not to be perfect, but to be better, and all that.

Probably the biggest cause of my slump would be my lack of consuming new literature, at least literature that isn’t news that makes me want to retreat from all cell service and never speak to a soul again.

I would like to thank the story that was gripping enough to get me to finish it in three days, despite working 12’s at the time, and my partner for getting it for me. The book is called There is No Anti Memetics Divison by QNTM, the internet handle for Sam Hughes. Insanely unique premise, I highly recommend a deeper look, I couldn’t begin to outline it here. It was also greatly inspiring to see what became of what was originally an SCP webseries, so I would like to thank Mr. Hughes for the push.

Now I am reading The Word for World is Forest by Ursula K. Le Guin, also gifted by my lovely partner, and because I can’t stay away from Ursula’s writing. I am doing this while parsing through my two months of work left to the wayside, and hoping the ‘compost method’ I hear so much about jumps at me.

Updates to come, I promise that.
