Hello world! Though this blog will likely go unread and disappear into the annals of the dead internet, I find I have an easier time meeting goals when I feel a pressure to have something to show for my work on regular, short intervals. This blog will, ideally, serve that function for me, as I hope to regularly update this bi-weekly with my current writing project progress, my processes and how they grow and evolve, and my creative thoughts, just to get them down somewhere other than my own private notebooks.
So what can be expected on your end?
My ultimate goal is to get published, so although this will be my creative outlet, it will not contain any of the material I am currently working on, other than the potential sentence or two for the rare example. This blog will not be used to reveal the story or it’s plot points. Instead, the only true connection to my overall project will be regular updates (mostly for my own reference) on word count progress made since the last post. Otherwise, these posts will be a creative outlet, my own personal explorations trying to think from different perspectives, or rationalize certain behaviors I myself would not have, or explaining my own processes for your enjoyment and so I can iron them out myself.
I look forward to the journey and to meeting those who may travel along with me!
